About

I am an artist based in Richmond Hill. At an early age, I received training in watercolor, modern Chinese painting and pottery from Master Maytin Kan, Mr Kuo-sung Luo and Ms Yee-fun Mak.

As a graphic designer for many years, I began to create my own art.

I have participated in group exhibitions in Toronto and served as a guest art juror in local high school.

At present, I'm an art tutor in my studio, and I devote most of my time to the creation of different art themes.

Statement
Elevating Artistry to New Heights

My creation is completely personal.

I look at dreams, nursery rhymes, and lullabies that are part of my culture from childhood to adulthood. In the"Time in a Bottle"series, new conceptually layered pieces resembling familiar visual signs are created by combining pottery movement and soft music. Different colors create a dreamy quality, suggest the notions of calmness and harmony, and formally unify the disparate forms. The drips and scratches are clues to the content and interpretation.

The mystical nature of my world has been revealed in the recent"Thoughts Series"on wooden panels, which feature unique artistic touches and the rich warmth of pastel strokes that encourage relaxation and calmness.

As a self-representation artist, I dedicate myself to presenting the pure essence of fine art. By focusing on creating abstract acrylic and mixed media, I create unique series that reflect my passion, creativity, and profound love for art. Each piece is a masterpiece made with the heart and soul.
